OUR EZ PATTERN Instructions HOW TO USE LOOSE HOT FIX RHINESTONE, RHINESTUD SHAPES TO MAKE YOUR PATTERNS. Everyone enjoys wearing the bling now you can create your own. Use our
patterns to Now as you will see below it really helps to have your kitten around to assist you!
Place your pattern on a flat surface and tape the edge down with tape.
Remove white backing from the clear Mylar/Motif sheet.
Place Mylar sheet directly on top of pattern (sticky side up) and tape the edges of the Mylar sheet down with tape.
I like to put the Rhinestones I am going to use on a paper or dish. My kitty likes to help spread them out for me, makes it easy to find the ones that are upside down ready to place on the pattern.
Place the crystals USING TWEEZERS (shiny side down, glue side up) to outline your pattern and create the design. Kitty help find just the right ones.
With close supervision Kitty assist with the placing of the Rhinestone on the dot pattern
When all crystals are in place, replace the white paper backing and remove tape. Kitty helps holding the sticky paper while placing the white paper backing back on and gives final PAW APPROVAL of your finish design.
Your design is ready to put on your favorite item. When properly applied, Rhinestones are machine washable. Always turn
the garments inside out first. Rhinestone: 175 to 185 Celsius Degree,10 seconds. 160 to 180 is right for SS6,SS8,SS10,SS16 For SS20,SS30 and SS34, 180, bigger size, please try to higher temperature, the highest temperature for bigger size can be 200 Rhinestud: 140 to 150 Celsius Degree,15 seconds. Right around 145 Celsius Degree. Nail head: 150 to 170 Celsius Degree,15 seconds. Right around 150 to 160 Celsius Degree Hologram nail head: 150 to 170 Celsius Degree,10 seconds. Right around 150 to 160 Celsius Degree. Rhinestud + nail head: suggestion 145 to 150 Celsius Degree,10 or 15 seconds. Nail head + rhinestone: suggestion 160 to 170 Celsius Degree,10 or 15 seconds. Rhinestud + rhinestone: suggestion 150 Celsius Degree,15 seconds. For the mixed material, the rule is just use the lower temperature.
INSTRUCTIONS USING A KANDI KANE HOT FIX APPLICATOR WAND You can use either a one step pen or a washable fabric marker both found at most craft stores Using the one step pen you can just print out the pattern on regular printer paper. Place the pattern on your fabric and follow the dots on the pattern using the one step pen. The ink will go right through the paper onto your item allowing for easy placement of your rhinestones, and the good news is the ink will wash out. Using a fabric marker You will need to print out your pattern on a stronger paper like card stock. We found cutting the paper close to the pattern will allow you better control when punching out the holes. In some cases with the smaller patterns you can use a standard hole punch if you are working with a larger pattern you will need to get either a eyelet punch or there are many other type of tools for punching holes in paper you can find to use. A little hint we found many scrapbooking hole punches have just the right size and shapes you will need for patterns. However no need to buy a lot of different tools when all you need is to punch out the holes. Once the holes are punched just place your pattern over the project and using your washable marker place a dot over each hole. We recommend using a round tip marker matching the size of the holes, It will be helpful when placing your rhinestones. Hot Fix Rhinestone Crystals, Rhinstuds, Nailheads, and Rhinestud Shapes are the hottest trends being used to add Bling to everything. These instructions will help you apply a Hot Fix Design to your material using a household iron. Once again we had our Kitty here to help us.
1.Use a hard, flat surface its not a good ideal to use a padded ironing board or anything soft. I use a large cutting board.
You want to make sure that it will wash and dry with no problem. If
you ever notice any loose pieces while wearing or after laundry, cover
design with a pressing cloth and re-iron. The glue is still there, and
you can re-activate it into the garment. Transfers are fully machine washable and dryable. Note: Small size like 6ss and 10ss crystals will iron on easy and faster. Larger crystals should be ironed on separately; because of their thickness they will require more pressing time. FOR OUR PATTERNS IF You have a PHOTO program like PAINT SHOP PRO or PHOTO IMPACT you can open your pattern and PRINT it from your Photo program. If you do not have a photo program and you use one of windows program like Windows XP you can use your paint program just click on start> All programs>Accessories>paint.... open up your pattern and print it from your paint program. if you purchase one of our patterns in the PDF format just open it up in ADOBE ACROBAT, which is a free to download program used worldwide. Once opened just print it out and start using it.
now for the fun part :) for USING LOOSE RHINESTONE, RHINESTUD SHAPES PATTERNS 1. Place your pattern on a flat surface and tape the edge down with scotch tape. 2. Remove white backing from the clear Mylar sheet. 3. Place Mylar sheet directly on top of pattern (sticky side up) and tape the edges of the Mylar sheet down with Scotch tape. 4. Place the crystals USING TWEEZERS (shiny side down, glue side up) to outline your pattern and create the design. 5. When all crystals are in place, replace the white plastic paper backing and remove scotch tape. 6. Check your design to make sure it is the way you want it – if not simply remove backing and reposition crystals. If you are using a dryer always use low heat or air dry. If a Rhinestone becomes loose use either your Kandi Kane to re apply or in rare cases you might need to replace the stone if it does fall off.
Place crystals or pearls on a flat surface and use the appropriate size round tip to pick up the item. (For metal nailheads and studs, place them directly onto the surface to be embellished, use either of the two flat tips, and place the Kandi Kane™ tip on top of the nailhead or stud to melt the glue).
Wait a few seconds for the special adhesive on the back of the crystal or pearl to begin melting (it will start to look shiny). This should take no longer than 10 - 12 seconds for most items.
Place the Kandi Kane™ straight down onto the surface you want to decorate, and lightly tap the surface. Immediately lift the Kandi Kane™ straight up off your surface. The crystal or pearl will be attached to the surface.
USING HOLOGRAM SPANGLES, SEQUINS AND PEARLS Please be very careful when using these because you can easily damage them if your not careful.
They are very delicate.
These are paper thin,
flat and so beautiful
Please
do not
use high heat when ironing these
onto your fabric.
The heat should not be higher than
approx °Celsius 90-110
°Fahrenheit 200
or medium heat setting on your iron or
it could cause damage to the holograms. Place them on your material/fabric just like you would Rhinestones
put a handkerchief over them and iron on. I find it even better to iron
them on from the back side of the material.
MYLAR/MOTIF PAPER INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING MYLAR SHEETS TO Design your own Crystal Motifs 1. Place your pattern on a flat surface and tape the edge down with scotch tape. 2. Remove white backing from the clear Mylar sheet. 3. Place Mylar sheet directly on top of pattern (sticky side up) and tape the edges of the Mylar sheet down with Scotch tape. 4. Place the crystals with the shiny side down and the glue side up to outline your pattern and create the design. 5. When all crystals are in place, replace the white plastic paper backing and remove scotch tape. 6. Check your design to make sure it is the way you want it – if not simply remove backing and reposition crystals.
Iron-on the finished design 1. Carefully remove the white paper backing. 2. Position the design onto fabric. (the clear Mylar sheet will hold the design together.) Place Teflon over design. 3. Set your iron to the proper temperature for the material, and allow iron to heat thoroughly. MAKE SURE STEAM IS OFF. For most cotton fabrics use “Wool Setting” 4. Leave iron on design for approximately 10-15 seconds depending on fabric (less time for silks, more for denim, etc.) For large designs, heat one section at a time until all crystals are heated. Do not move the iron. Just let it sit in place. 5. Turn item over and press again from the back. 6. Allow to cool for approximately 3 minutes to form a permanent bond. Slowly remove the Mylar sheet. If, when removing the Mylar … if any of the crystals are not firmly attached, carefully reposition the Mylar and repeat the ironing process. 7. Allow the crystals to cool and rub your finger over them. If any crystals feel “loose,” reapply the iron as above.
I RECOMMEND USING A TEFLON SHEET OR PRESSING CLOTH TO MAKE A UNIFORM HEAT SURFACE AND TO PROTECT DELICATE FABRICS. When the design is totally sealed it becomes permanent and the garment may be machine washed up to 140 degrees, dryable and dry-cleaned without damage to the design. * If you need to iron the garment, press the wrong side with a dry iron.

Aurora Borealis (AB) is a coating which will add a rainbow type effect to the basic stone color. The Effect is most commonly used with Crystal stones, and 'Aurora Borealis' is the term used to describe 'Crystal AB' rhinestones.
APPLIQUÉS Instructions for Appliqués Iron heat setting: wool to cotton setting. Press iron down with lots of pressure, really bear into it, for 45 seconds. Let it cool, turn inside out, repeat pressure and time. Let cool. Delicate cycle wash and hang to dry.
